As usual, I fell asleep rather easily around 11 p.m. This is the face of a well-rested lady! Hello, old friend, I have missed you. Last night I slept solidly from 11 p.m. – 5:00 a.m. for the first time in weeks. So last night, following a long night of little sleep and then a long day of work and ending with a long photo shoot on the beach with six toddlers…I. Was. Tired. I’m sure that my overall tiredness helped me sleep through the night, but I did also try a new technique to assist with my sleep; lavender essential oil. About thirty minutes before I went to bed I diffused lavender essential oil in my bedroom. Generally I wake up 1-2 times between 1:00 a.m. and 4:00 a.m. and then have a very difficult time falling back to sleep. It was such a treat to sleep until 5:00 a.m. today. I will definitely try diffusing lavender oil again tonight to try to attain the same wonderful results!
