I Survived My Bachelorette Party

A little tired, but ready to have fun!

My friends did an awesome job of driving me crazy by not telling me what we were getting into this weekend!

I mentioned before that my friends were having some difficulties figuring out a fun idea for my bachelorette party. They wanted to do something fun and memorable, but still respect my need to get a decent night’s sleep.

It wasn’t long before I had a cryptic text telling me to block off 4:30-10:30 p.m. on Saturday evening. I was excited! I’d still arrive home a little late, but knowing that I wouldn’t be out past midnight was reassuring for me. We ended up doing a dinner cruise! It was so much fun. I love boats and sailing, so this was a perfect surprise evening. We had a wonderful meal and danced all night–I couldn’t have asked for a better party.

Although it wasn’t extremely late, I think the change in my routine still affected my sleep. I wasn’t able to drink my tea or have my 30 minutes of wind down time like I’ve been used to, and my sleep wasn’t all that great. So, not surprisingly, I felt pretty sluggish the next day. I’d love to hop in bed a bit early, but I have to keep up the routine as scheduled. Hopefully tomorrow comes with more energy and a great session in the gym.
