I think I’ve found what works for me to prepare for bed and fall back to sleep if I ever wake up during the night: meditation!
I haven’t been consistent with it, but I’ve discovered that doing mediation exercises right before bed has helped me fall asleep much faster than I usually do. I also stay asleep longer. After watching a few videos from last year’s Beyond Tired participants, and seeing how it worked for them, I decided to go ahead and make it a permanent part of my pre-bedtime activities. I’ve also found a few stretching exercise videos online, and have a few audio recordings I already listen to, so I’ll keep those in rotation. I just hope I can clear my head enough to actually benefit from it!
