An Evening Movie

Today I wanted to do something with my children, so we decided to go to the movies. We chose an early showing, 5:30 p.m. Ironically, I seem to always fall asleep at the movies, but I was so concerned it would keep me up tonight that this feeling passed.

It was an action movie without a dull moment. I stayed awake through the whole thing. When I got home, contrary to my 6:00 p.m. rule, I had to use the computer again until 9:00 p.m. to work on my dissertation. I ate a handful of croutons, did my evening routine, and was in bed by 10:30 p.m., but I felt like I was up every hour. I tried to stop looking at the clock, in case the light was keeping me up, but nothing seemed to help.
